Family info Link, Stockport's Family Information Service holds details of local registered childminders, nurseries, pre-schools, out of school clubs and leisure activities such as parent and toddler groups and can provide you with a wide range of information on other services relevant to family life. If you are unsuccessful in your attempts to find suitable childcare we can offer you a brokerage service. Some of the ways we may be able to help include:

• Contacting childcare providers for you
• Talking on the phone or meeting with you to discuss options
• Arranging visits to childcare providers

Our School Transfer Advisory Service (STArS) provides information and guidance on applying for a secondary school place and appealing against a secondary school place offer.

Publications include ‘Starting Out', a directory of local services and support for children and young people with disabilities and their families and Maternity Packs containing a range of leaflets and information on benefits, rights and flexible working.
