About Peterborough FIS

Peterborough Families Information Service (FIS) provides information, advice and assistance to parents, carers, professionals, childcare providers and those interested in a career in childcare including:

• All registered and non-registered early years education and childcare
• Financial information on how to pay for childcare, and other financial benefits for families and working parents
• Working parents’ rights
• Sources of support for families, including information on a range of related topics
• Information on activities for children and young people
• Brokering childcare for families who needs require some in-depth support
• A job advertising service for childcare providers
• Information for people who wish to work or train in the childcare profession

The FIS is available 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday via:
